I am Jordan Melgar

I grew up in Florence, South Carolina, in a close-knit community where creativity became my way of seeing the world. From painting and ceramics to summer art camps and disposable film cameras, I was always drawn to beauty — the kind you feel as much as you see.

Traveling internationally at a young age shaped my eye for light, architecture, and texture, but it was in college, while photographing couples, that I discovered what truly moved me : connection. The quiet language between two people in love. The fleeting, unrepeatable nature of a moment.

I began photographing professionally in 2023 and stepped into this work full-time in January of 2026. What started as art evolved into something far deeper — a responsibility to preserve legacy with intention and care.

I am deeply nostalgic by nature. I believe weddings are more than beautifully designed events,  they are sacred gatherings. They are the only time in your life when every person you love is in one place, witnessing the beginning of your marriage. I’m drawn to the refined details you’ve curated with intention, but equally to the in-between moments of private vows, a steadying hand before you walk down the aisle, the way your grandparents look at you with quiet teary joy.

My approach is calm, intuitive, and thoughtfully guided. I create space for you to be fully present — never over-directed, never rushed — so that what is captured feels honest and enduring. At the heart of my work is my faith in Jesus. He is the source of the beauty I see in covenant, devotion, and togetherness. That foundation shapes the way I serve — with gratitude, excellence, and deep care for the story you are entrusting to me.
